Munchkin learns to walk

Well, she did it. She learned how to walk. Just shy of fifteen months old, but boy does she find it funny. Pynchon and I have spent much of the weekend ping-ponging her back and forth between us, increasing the distance from a few steps ... to a few more steps.

video

She's lurching like a drunken sailor (and laying sloppy kisses on the camera lens, too), but we couldn't be prouder. And we probably couldn't laugh much more.

----

You know, right, that she was a total whining, wretched, face-slapping, daddy-hating, mommy-clinging, nap-striking, tantrum pitching ... toddler today right? To make up for the glorious two days previous?

Her ponytails are killing me.

Congrats Munchkin. Learn to run and watch with joy the look of panic on your parents faces as they try and keep up....

Walk on, Munchkin!
Mine was a terror this weekend, too. Blech.

Face slapping. Oh yes. Toddlers.

I love you. I hate you. I need you. Get away. Hold me now. Put me down you fool! Yes, I know it well.

That is some precious video and now I'm tempted to attempt some myself, though also admittedly intimidated. I've never posted video. But it's so fun to watch!

Omaha Mama -- it's really easy to put a video up: look on the toolbar at the top of your new-post window, and you'll see there's a button now to let you add a video. So as long as you have a video ready to go, just add it like you would add a photo!

I have just read your last three posts and oh how I feel the wistfulness! It is hard to let go sometimes of something that you know is so precious, but at the same time is harder and harder to remember.

She is such a cutie - way to go for your Mom and Munchkin play dates.

Love the pony tales, both of you.

Congratulations! My face-slappin thirteen (almost fourteen) month old still isn't walking and we cannot WAIT. Here's to drunken sailor lurching!
