With even more spring

This is for Kyla, who mocked the Canadian toque-boots-jacket spring. Same park, same kid, one week later:

It was her first day in shorts this year, on Saturday, and within 20 minutes, she'd skinned both knees, in two separate incidents. She's proud now to show her 'broke-a knee' to anyone who cares to look. We wore sunblock and ran around like maniacs. Ahh, spring. Finally.

Love the hat! Isn't the green grass wonderful?

Unless it is REALLY hot I make my girls wear light capris at the park..they just cannot stay upright either! Last year even the bandaids were getting scraped.

Papoosie Girl did declare it TOO HOT after skipping for awhile and did change into shorts...and managed to not skin a single knee this weekend, a record for us.

This weather is definitely cheering everyone up.

It was SO gorgeous out!

And if that's the park I think it is, I went there as a kid, too, when my mom was a student at your school. The geese scared me, though.

Now THAT looks like spring!

I love her little Airwalks. KayTar's feet are too tall for slip-ons. (I'm never sure if tall is the right word, but her feet are narrow, not wide, but from the sole to the top of her foot is thick)

I think Kyla is looking for "high instep" - The Boy has it too and it's a bitch to fit.

I love spring so much. I've got a serious hate on for winter after this past season's deluge of snow.

Yay, spring! We've got it down here, now, too.

I love the hat. And the face under the hat.

yes, the high - in step! ugh! shoe shopping.
mimi- we also went from cold to hot, tripping over a wet and windy spring right into sunscreen weather - though I've not hit my stride and need to get on my mommy game and keep our first aid supplies in the backpack, stroller, car and downstairs bathroom. I hadn't used peroxide on anyone in months! I didn't miss it over the winter.

I don't grudge you your spring, but I am very jealous of your weather. And is she wearing Vans? So cool.

And I become a maniac in spring too.

I looked at our ten day forecast and was amazed that there's not one freezing overnight temp forecasted! That pleases me to no end, it seems spring took its sweet time getting here this year. Now it's almost May - we'll be to summerlike temps in a matter of days, I'm sure.

Miss M finally got to wear shorts today. I must admit that I didn't fully appreciate the splendour of this post until I saw my own girl's lily white flesh in the sun.
