Well, that was a long drive, another 413 km worth of Toyota-seat reshaping my butt.
Mercifully, it was a a quiet ride, mostly:
(I took this when I pulled off the road, obviously.)
Suddenly, my kid likes to read her 'newspapers' (kiddie nature magazines) and her 'tape stories' (readalong WonderPets books with a CD narration) and play pretend with her 50 My Little Ponies and assorted McDonald's-loot Teeny Beanie Babies. She just hangs out in the back by herself, keeping herself occupied.
Miracle!
Only now, I'm going to hear that WonderPets CD in my nightmares. Are you ready? Let's begin! The tin can began to rattle and ring ...
GAH!

She is so cute!
For the last 2 years it has been a common occurrence when someone says, "Huh?" or "I can't hear you!" to respond with, "(name of person who can't hear)- take the banana out of your ear!" Know your pain, but much prefer WP to Max & Ruby.
Just the other day when the phone rang in my house my Mom started, "the phone, the phone is ringing" and I laughed because it has been forever since we heard that. I kind of miss my Treehouse shows, but I will probably want to eat those words in a year or so when Sweetpea discovers them.
Either that or she will go straight to the Jonas brothers. Ick.
Glad you had an uneventful drive.
And here I was, just yesterday, complaining about how I have to sing the ABCs on the way home from day care, which makes it hard to listen to NPR....
So sweet! I love it when they crash out in the car like that.
Isn't the seemingly instant back-seat independence amazing? I'm constantly looking back with a "everything OK back there?"
What can you do when there's an ANIMAL IN TROUBLE...Somewhere?
