I spoke too soon, gleefully, of being plague-free this Valentine's day.
Tuesday night found me, 10 pm, at the pharmacy counter of the local 24 hour Shoppers Drug Mart, trying to find a way to keep Munchkin's fever down (apparently, you alternate doses of acetaminophen and ibuprofen) and stocking up on popsicles, juice, and board books about princesses. Picture me in my parka, and my Sorels, and my yoga pants, eyes red, hair flattened, voice hoarse from coughing, standing next to the cute giddy couple shopping for condoms. Damn right! Look what happens to you when you don't use contraception! Ha!
(That big red bottle? Is for me and my ever-lingering flu.)
Lord almighty, even the cat has developed an ominous sneeze today. Pray for us. Or send drugs, or maybe reinforcements.

You're so funny. And so right.
Sorry to hear about the plague on your house. I hope you all feel better soon.
So sorry - it sucks for everyone to end up ill. :-(
The Baby and I have had a stomach bug all week. We will stay far, far away from each other, lest we catch EVERYTHING.
The plague infected us briefly, too. Our big bottle is blue, though. Same stuff, different colour. Ugh.
I've got both kids down with the barfing flu right now. Happy Reading Week to me!
Yup, the alternating is key!
I really, really, really hope you guys are healthy soon!
Oh, and the contraception line slayed me!
We got crushed by the plague--my mom came to save us and stayed for three days.
Definitely call for reinforcements.
Count with me: 8, 9, 10, 11, 2, 4, 5. That's all the times Munchkin got up last night after I put her to bed. Oh dear Lord, I'm soooo tiiiiiired.
Count us in too - for the first six weeks of '09 we were out of commission with colds and flu for about half of them.
It is getting REALLY boring to be sick all.the.time...
I've been in the pharmacy with that exact couple, I think. I wanted to say the same thing.
Get well.
If it was a sweet, young female cashier, chances are it was my niece. She works there.
Hope you're all feeling and sleeping better soon.
Oh, god, this season is BURTAL, is it not? We've had a horrible gastroenteritis, and last week, I had strep throat. whee! Pumpkinpie tonight declared herself sick and felt warmish, so I can only hope I get through this week without another sick day... I do hope you are feeling better soonest.
